Ultramarine: An Homage to Yves Klein

 

In 1960 French artist Yves Klein patented a deep vibrant ultramarine blue that was coined International Klein Blue (IKB). Inspired by the electric hue of this blue, we introduced our Ultramarine Suede in two of or iconic shape: The Orb and The Arc 2.0

 

Seen above is the Venus D’Alexandrie : 1962

creating a classic figure in his signature Klein Blue, Yves Klein redefined this form giving it a modern spin. 

Ultramarine is a deep blue pigment that is derived from Lapis Lazuli.

 It means ‘Beyond the sea’
