As the founder of GOGLUXE, a luxury fashion retail and brand consultancy, Ramya is a seasoned globe trotter always on the hunt for the next cool emerging brand. We chatted with her about her favorite cities, what inspires her and what’s she’s eyeing these days.
NY OR LA?
Both! I lived in NY for 20 years and I absolutely would not be who I am today without those formative years. I love living in LA and I love visiting NYC for the art, attending shows and the amazing restaurants, staying at The Chelsea Hotel..but I have to say, nothing beats the sun and weather of LA- looking out the window and seeing the palm trees!

WHICH CITY INSPIRES YOU THE MOST:
I absolutely adore Tokyo. I love the organized chaos, the order and beating heartbeat of a city so alive and vibrant. The food, the art, the shopping and architecture.The Comme des Garcon experience from Dover Street Market to the CDG flagship are not to be missed!
AN EMERGING DESIGNER OF THE MOMENT:
Zankov! I love his use of color and texture as well as his joyful knitwear.
WHAT DRAWS YOU TO ESHA SONI?
The captivating modern aesthetic of Esha Soni. The feminine shapes juxtaposed with the modern clean materials and metals really appeals to me. I love the timelessness of the bags and jewelry and the fact that it’s a brand that is luxurious and not exactly quiet but subtle at the same time.
